Understanding Pomba Gira
64Sharing this with you is a pleasure of mine, because it goes to the route of whom we are as humans. Treading within the realms between consciousness..i.e dark & light, belief & mysticism, history & change. We can not help but become curious as to where ideas, concepts, ideologies, and possibilities stem from.
I'm a mixed raced, mixed cultural and traditional child. Born in the Island of Cuba and raised all my life in the U.S.. I come from a unique background which is totally submerged in mysticism, phenomenon, paranormal, occult, African Indegenous beliefs, European Spiritualism, & Catholicism. Wow! what a mouth full. Here is a Pdf of a book which is not only geared at the understanding of Pomba Gira. But, to be seen as the mixture between races, cultures, traditions, religious faith, & religious ideology. All coming together in the new world. Read this carefully and in its entirety. Not just for the sake of understanding of what the Pomba Gira is. But, the coming together of spiritual knowledge which spans 4 continents; Africa, Europe, the Americas, and possibly even the Middle East. Brazilian cultural religious traditions involving the mixture between the Portuguese, South American Indians, and African Slaves is the same as the Cuban mixture of cultural traditions involving the Spanish, Caribbean Taino Indians, and African Slaves. It is amazing how close the Brazilian indigenous cultural religious evolution is too the Cuban. The only difference is style and the directions which things went. Otherwise, they are closely the same. This book sheds light on the passion, fire, & conflicts which exists between angels, demons, and man.
