From Dad's to Children
63I'm kinda late with this one, because I had to look for it.. I just could not find it in time for Father's Day.. Yet, because poems are always timeless, I decided to publish it again anyway...
This was published in a book of "The International Library of Poetry" group, back in 2006.. I had always had a passion for writing, yet could never make the time to put my thoughts down on paper. I finally did, and this is how I started...
The Love of a Father
The love of a Father has for his children is a love that never dies.
In Spring, it blossoms with renewed enthusiasm as does nature.
At Summer, it burns with a passion that sweats, and we don't dry it.
By Fall, it's too expansive to harvest. Yet, we grab on to it as much as we can.
And, when Winter arrives, we hold on to it tight, so it keeps us warm.
Come a new year, the cycle repeats itself, never ending.
So, even when you feel alone, always know.
Your Father's love will be there. Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter,
even beyond our time to go.
You can tell that I always have to put in a little Tao in things... Blessings to all.. Baba
